GambleAware are launching a third phase of their Stigma Campaign highlighting the impacts which those impacted by Harmful Gambling often face in terms of feeling able to speak openly and seek support around gambling.
You may have seen the orange themed adverts over the past 18 months, being the only national TV advertising campaign in recent memory which actively encourages people to talk about and consider the negative consequences of harmful gambling rather than simply being another operator fed ‘responsible gambling’ brand awareness gimmick.
The campaign team are currently looking for people with lived experience who would be willing to speak to their experiences with gambling, whether in an interview with the press, as part of a video or to provide a written testimonial, as part of the campaign delivery.
Specifically, in keeping with the focus of this latest phase, they are looking for people with the following experience:
- 18–30-year-olds who started gambling prior to turning 18.Parents of children aged 11-17 who are concerned about their child’s gambling activity.
If you can help or know someone that might be able to support with their story that would be hugely appreciated.
To register interest you can either contact GLEN at info@glenetwork.org and we will pass on your details, or email GambleAware directly at involvement@gambleaware.org
