The “In Conversation…” series of videos are interviews between GLEN and individuals with Lived and Living Experience of harm caused through gambling who are using their voices and experiences to promote and deliver help and support for others experiencing similar harms.
Most are with individuals who have accessed existing support services, or who now work in those support services, and are designed to give focus to the Human elements of treatment and aftercare support in the hope that this may make these services seem more relatable and better understood.
With less than 1% of all individuals living with harm caused by gambling currently reaching out for support we feel that the daunting step of feeling able to share your vulnerable state with “faceless organisations may be a significant barrier preventing this from happening.
We hope that these conversation videos will help lower this obstacle through giving relatable human “faces”, telling their own stories in their own words and demonstrating the genuine care and passion which sits behind the gambling support sector.
