Sarah, a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at Lancaster University, is seeking volunteers to assist her training project. She is conducting a research project on how people who have been harmed by gambling and complex trauma experience safety. Specifically, around gaining a deeper understanding of how feelings of safety are experienced, developed and maintained throughout a relevant therapeutic working relationship – such as with a counsellor – as well as how individuals accessing treatment services make sense of this, in light of their treatment/recovery from combined gambling harms and complex trauma issues.
If you are over 18, have taken part in therapeutic treatment (such as counselling) over a period of at least six sessions, and are now over six months into recovery then she would really like to speak to you. Participation involves a 60 minute interview, held remotely over MS Teams.
To register your interest, or to get further details, please contact Sarah by email at s.cuccuru@lancaster.ac.uk
This is a voluntary opportunity to help with research and there is no remuneration currently available for taking part.
